We knew coming in that Caley was going to have to run a simple, conservative, plan but he didn't do that in the first half.
That’s the exact moment I lost confidence in him. It’s when I really noticed how he looks like he always wants to cry any time he sees a challenge. Head down pouty face can’t be your leader.
I legit think CJ has PTSD from his 2 concussions. Since he came back from his 2nd, he's scared to run at all or take hits. I don't know if we can move forward with a QB who is scared of contact. If you can't do in game that would most likely take you to the SuperBowl and your defense doing everything they can, you're never going to do it.
I'd take a FG + defensive stop, right now coming out the half. CJ, look more comfortable, score 3, stop. Take it from there....
Houston sports got a history of stubborn coaches and I hate it bc it’s always kept us from championships
The thing is all they need is someone to get 3 points. That's literally all they need to win games with this defense. We were right there man, 10-7, 8 mins left, go down there, get 3 points at least, get a stop, get into the half with a good lead and the ball back. All we ask is to not throw these dumbass picks. That's it. Hey the INT where it hit a WRs hand, that's fine. Even the other one where he throws it behind and the DB makes a good play on the ball, okay whatever...but that pick 6 cannot be happening. There is zero excuse for that. CJ. The play is dead bro. Your outlet tripped, you have a guy coming at you, take the sack or throw it in the ground or away. He's still trying to make these superhuman plays like he's Mahomes or prime Rodgers. He's not. Either he accepts this and plays within his limits or he keeps having these dumbass picks. Everyone can live with a pick or two where its bad luck or he slightly had a bad throw, we can live with those kind of mistakes...but this is like Ben Simmons passing up on a layup kind of mistake, it's just so glaringly bad.
I don't think Mills can lead us to a comeback here with all of our injuries. He maybe could if this were a tied game or within a field goal or something. He's not a big play QB. If they pull CJ and put him in I think they're effectively saying CJ's time as a Texan is over and I doubt the coaching staff wants to do that in the middle of a game.
I get that it's harsh to say, but you just can't be a leader if you are that mentally weak and can't control your emotions.
It’s not Carley’s fault CJ made a terrible throw. Receiver had steps and he threw it 5 yards behind him.
It's not about his demeanor or his swagger or whatever the ****. It's about his decision making. He makes bad decisions OFTEN. The CJ who took care of the ball is somehow dead.
Them concussions might of ruined CJ - he hasn’t been the same since … always seems to be moping around
He was bawling like a baby. You can't act like that in the middle of a game. He proceeded to **** the bed the rest of the game. This is a Man's game and CJ is a boy.
11 point deficit for this offense seems like you are down by 30. Unless the defense seriously try to go for turnovers and then try to score, I don’t see how this comeback can happen.
