I know its hindsight & Cam is currently out indefinitely.
But
With this teams offensive struggles & injuries so far Cam would have been another needed pure scorer.

But oh well
Ime wasn't going to play him either way.

 

He will have his games where he looks like a superstar, but the odds him ever doing it consistently are pretty low at this point.

 

Not only that, but if it did actually turn out that he was a star level player for them, then that'd suggest there's something wrong on the team side of things, so retaining him wouldn't have changed anything either. I very much doubt Jalen's going to be a star. It's more important now for one of the ones we have left to turn into one.

 

I think he is more talented than KPJ and KPJ was pretty consistent putting up numbers before injury.......

It is not easy but not as hard as people make it out to be......just takes maturation.

 

We're arguably a better offensive team this year than last, and they wanted no part of him last year, apparently. They give him opportunities last year, but he failed and/or started pouting. Ok, fine Ime hated him.

So this season, he's on Washington and their coach has already stated Cam isn't living up to standards they're trying to set on that team, and it's up to him to change that. Just like Ime did, they've made it clear what's expected.

You say, we could've used Cam this year. Hell, we could've used Cam last year, but the Rockets apparently traded Jalen and then believed Cam wasn't worth keeping because of his issues and traded him, too. That's when I said "damn", because I had always thought if Jalen were traded, it would give Cam some more minutes or come in as the offensive firepower.

Can Cam turn it around? Sure. But like 2 teams have already said, what's expected has been relayed to him, and the rest is on him. Of course, unless Brian Keefe hates him, too. Then there were rumors of his coach at Villanova supposedly talking bad about him. Dammit, why does everybody hate Cam (except IG models, apparently)?!

 

I mean, if we're going to go with unavailable former Rockets, I would rather have Dream. Now, imagine that offense AND defense!

 

I wish him the best health wise but he's a terrible player. He's not going to be in the NBA in a few years. China is his future if he can play
