Under Morey, I think he had more of an input on the coaching staff, offense, rotations etc. I think Stone had significant input on the rotations under Silas. But when they hired Ime, I get the feeling a significant part of the sales pitch was him having the keys to the car, complete control over everything coaching and a big impact on roster decisions.

 

But but we hired a good challenge person, up drastically from last year.

 

That's the way it appears .... but you know clutchfans, fickle crowd and has to be some conspiracy behind pretty much everything.

I think it's more like: it's Udoka's idea to restrict it exclusively to his guys (and no threats to his job of of course), Stone never disagrees with him and Tilman never says no to a lower budget.

I think all 3 stooges agreed to this idea. It's actually fine for when he got here, their backgrounds are all very player development-oriented. We had younger guys and were starving for development. We've just outgrown it and now need more experienced tactical coaches on board. Having an offensive assistant who was on Mike Malone or Steve Kerr's staff would be great - they really understood how to use a big passing C and still have a crisp offense.

I saw a stat the other day: WE HAVE THE SLOWEST HALFCOURT SPEED IN THE NBA SINCE 2013 (according to GENIUSIQ). Our best plays are Sengun and Durant iso lol so we're just so insanely slow despite having a lot of reps.

Can we please get an experienced offensive tactician on the coaching staff? This offense needs a doctor.
