I especially like how Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh is getting **** named after himself. Kavanaugh making sure that long after he is dead people are going to remember his sorry ass.

 

That's the thing that kills me. I don't run into "crazy" MAGA't in my day to day life, they're all very chill and cool and normal...until they bring up politics.

The guy above is a great example, and there several others: I wish I had never read their posts in the D/D (because I enjoy their posts elsewhere), and then I would still think very well of them, but now I can't, yet I still enjoy their posts elsewhere (but it's always in the back of my mind). • Trump’s defense maintains that the prosecution has not — and cannot — definitively prove that the record‑keeping was intended to conceal a crime, arguing that either no underlying crime occurred or that any record issues weren’t criminal in intent.

So, it’s fair and accurate to say:

The Minneapolis PD has about 600 police officers to cover all law enforcement activities in the city.

ICE/BP has 3,000 federal agents in the city to work on a much narrower portfolio.

If you were only going to follow up on warrants for undocumented persons in Minneapolis in a short amount of time, you would need a "surge" of about 100 federal officers.

So, we have 30 times the needed number of federal agents (five times the current city police staffing) roaming the streets of Minneapolis. The majority of that crew is undertrained, incapable of keeping a level head, and believe that hiding behind a badge and gun while swarming, yelling at, and assaulting people is the only way. It now also appears that DHS has been asking for volunteers to go to Minnesota, so that means the guys who want visit their wrath on blue states and MAGA opponents are over-represented in the 3,000.

Yes, this is a silly exercise because we know that the 3,000 are not there for legit law enforcement, but it is still worthwhile to consider the scale of this whole thing. And they want to bring in more.

On immigration, though, your statement is actually vaguely incorrect —it’s a civil violation under federal law if you merely overstay an allowed legal arrangement-

• Illegal re-entry after deportation is a federal felony under 8 U.S.C. § 1326,
Where felonies do come into play is with criminal conduct often tied to immigration violations—illegal reentry after deportation, identity fraud, human smuggling, drug trafficking, or violent crime. Those are federal felonies. But your side doesn't care about that distinction
