I'm a Texans fan already paying for the Bills new stadium I firmly believe NY should be 2 or 3 states. Downstate ideology is 180 degrees of upstate. Not all but most. We are in the blue but take a look at the rest of the state.
Eh, that's most places. I would be vehemently opposed to a new state with an incredibly small population getting two senators while NYC and Buffalo also only get two. The same goes for rural California. Just because you disagree with the majority of the population doesn't mean you deserve disproportionate representation in the Senate.

100%, but where are these questions regarding all the “wins” claimed across this country by the right in 2025 despite homicides dipping in 2024 under Biden. Look at these well regarded men claim victory for Trumps policy and attacks on Venezuelan drug boats over statistics that end in 2024. Of course it’s full of **** to credit that guy with a a low NYC homicide rate to start this year, homicide trends will likely take years to affect with policy (that isn’t a Salvadoran style instantaneous lock up of 3% of the adult male population). But both sides are doing this tactic. It would be amazing for it to be called out with equal vigor.
