Half-detard is a good default setting it's just hard to reach that height consistently, but I do have an occasional good day. All in all your approach seems very measured and reasonable... Hmm. Do you have a substack?

Sengun needs to get over himself. Its getting to a point where a Reed possession is more favorable than a Sengun one. Its significantly harder to defend and Alpy needs to be good with Reed's name getting called as much if not moreso than him.

Get the vibe that he gets perturbed when Reed doesnt force him the ball.

This is what I mean, you’ve conformed into this delusion . Everything is to affirm your preconceived bias.

it’s not healthy but you keep at it while the folks that voiced th criticisms have been proven correct everytime. You’re been proven wrong but you lack the self awareness to maybe show a bit of humility

we get it, you’re obsessed with the coach and don’t really care about this team. Everything that goes wrong is Sheppards fault. See? I can be one of you it isn’t that hard

wow bro... u r projecting hardcore....

i dont get u... half the time u like my posts and the other half of the time you rant and insult...

I like Reed... I hope he develops - but i aint ready to anoint him as the savior... lol.

Reed has upside... but he's also flawed - as are all our players...
KD has to limit his turnovers...
Amen needs to learn to shoot...
Alpi needs to stop shooting 3s... and play consistent d
Reed needs to learn to keep his man in front of him on D...
Jabari needs to stop putting the ball on the floor...
Ime can make more in game adjustments...

it is what it is.... but I aint looking to kick nobody to the curb... can u say the same?

If you think what most of CF had been saying the last couple of weeks is white knighting and akin to Lin situation .. what is there left to say? The moderator and founder of this site himself said it too is he a player only fan?

I’m not trying to be too abrasive, but you definitely have an implicit bias.

Liked the post again, so take that why don’t you.

well, see... I dont think "most of Clutcfans" wants to fire Ime and build around Reed Sheppard... i think there are a few very vocal members that are pushing that agenda - but not the majority... in my HUMBLE opinion... lol

feel free to make a poll... but im betting most are fine with a coach that has us at a top 5 offense and defense... or right around there...

Further, I think most of CF likes Reed and want to continue to develop him - but dont want him in when he's taking shots from KD and Alpi...

imho... ur just a lil over the edge here, bro...

and omg... mentioning Lin really seems to be a trigger for u... i get it... DDs nonsense usually triggers the fk outta me.. lol

That's the big question i guess. Though i would suggest that his offense should be better than Fred's to the point he may not need to get quite to Fred's level on d (he's criminally underrated there tbh) he may just need to get to the point of being a solid defender overall. As long as he's not a flat out liability i think he's/we're good.

LOL.. I understand how fandom works and good for you. Sometimes it's okay to act like you've been around basketball and not freak out too.

You’re using a strawman. Like 2 people want to build around Reed. I’m so confused. This whole debacle is centered around relegating Sheppard to purgatory when his presence helps us win games. Benching him for occasional lapses and scapegoating him for the team’s woes is where most Clutchfans have an issue. He is a solid role player that is integral to the teams success. That is where 95% of CF is at.

the top 5 offense and defense is absolute comedy. That’s like saying the rockets were the 2nd seed last year (people never mention they lost to the 7th).

the more important stat is the rockets are 1-5 against contending teams. Their offense in the last quarter against said teams is dead last. While this is going on the coach has a seizure and thinks it’s a defense only problem playing 3-4 non-shooters at a time. The lineups are so bizarre it makes news around the league. During crucial plays they can’t get a last second decent look off. They can’t inbound the ball.

saying there isn’t a coaching problem again is delusion.

Yea I can’t even hate on the guy , the word fan is called as such for a reason
honestly good for you, at times we forget this is all entertainment.

It was a bit of t problem with YOF and LOF because they drowned all discussion of the team but if Reed gives you that dopamine / serotonin boost why not.

I’m sure rockets fandom is weird to non-basketball fans. My significant other still looks at me weird for yelling during games

welp according to the poll in this thread... 39 people want to build around Reed... 43%... that is what the poll shows... right? That seems like more than 2... and it is the whole premise of this thread, right? jus sayin...

idk what % want to fire Ime... but im guessing its less than 30%.... and that is the desire u have expressed, right? "Ime needs to be gone yesterday..." that is your thread, right? but I'm the guy with the "preconceived bias".... really?

as ive said, repeatedly, I like Reed in the 6th man role... put him out there with better defenders that can help him - and let him be the offensive focus when 1A KD and 1B Sengun sit... and if Reed is on, then give him some burn down the stretch with the starters...

Humbly for your reference, for the season so far yours truly Reed Sheppard is 2nd in the team’s actual EPM, only behind Kevin Durant and ahead of BOTH Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson.

My life is so serious I need a place that is unabashedly playful. That’s what my fandom is mostly. Im confident from some of your other posts you can be sympathetic to this.

But you’ll also never hear me call anyone stupid for their beliefs. Unless it’s that douche who was the Milwaukee fan.

LOL everyone wants to jump to conclusions. Amen is a max player! No wait, let's build around Reed!

I think you just have to look at what's in front of you, that being Reed is the best PG on this team. He should be starting and getting 30 minutes a game.

Last night Reed was outstanding. He is best off-ball and has been all season. Last night he was 8-17. Of his 8 made buckets he was assisted on 6 of them, 4 by Amen and 2 by Jabari. He was 2 for 9 on unassisted shots. Reed should be getting more minutes, but not at pg. This is not a 1 game anomaly, it is consistent with his play all season. Reed is an elite spot up shooter. The Rockets should put him in a position to succeed not force him into a role he is not yet proficient at.

Yeah, he's a movement shooter and a connective passer. Amen is currently our best "make things happen" guy early in the shot clock, and playing through Sengun in the post is our best option in slower halfcourt sets. Reed and KD need to be playing off the ball and having plays run where they're one of the primary options to finish the play.
