The solution: Add an 18th game for more revenue like the owners want. Player union needs to comply because we all know the owners want what is best for them.

All of these players were injured by the 14th game (many were much earlier) and most were non-contact injuries. Not sure what the solution is, but this is not directly a too-many-games or too-hard-hits problem. In terms of total risk compared to 5 or 10 years ago, players have many fewer practices and take less contact during them so their total risk seems lower despite the extra game, and they have much safer rules for tackling, etc. If injuries are up (I'm not sure if they are?), the cause is something else.

Seattle has a stadium with no roof?! It rains most of the year! Duh.

Stafford is lighting up the seahawks secondary in big chunks.

Who’s better? Sam Darnold or CJ Stroud?

What a win for the Seahawks!

How many times do you see a team go 3/3 in two-point conversions?

I'm listening to the commentary and have a question. Whatever happened to the inadvertent whistle call? This would come into play if the "fumble" on the 2 point conversion was whistled dead before it was recovered in the end zone. The reports I've heard indicate the play had been whistled dead before the recovery.

The Major Sports leagues have become Professional Wrestling now. Just a skit using a contest as a format rather than an actual contest.

The player who doesn't shrink in big games?

Nice with for Seattle but it took a punt return td, a weird backwards pass fumble on a 2 pt conversion, and a missed game winning fg for them to beat the Rams. This was as flukey a win as I have seen. Darnold still sucks. He made some nice throws in OT once the pass rush for the Rams was tired.

It was pretty clearly a backwards pass.

refs and players alike have been way too cavalier about backwards passes and laterals in recent years. Anything that’s not obviously a forward pass needs to be treated as live.

I agree, but the inadvertent whistle kills the play, or at least it used to, regardless of anything that happened or followed. I remember fumble returns called back because of these, even though it was obvious the play was not dead.

The first game in LA was even worse. The Seahawks completely dominated everything, except Darnold had 4 INTs while Stafford had zero. Nevertheless, they were close enough to attempt a 61-yard FG on the final play that missed.

It’s supposed to but the refs just make **** up now.

I thought it was justified awarding the conversion successful. It sucks for the Rams but whatever, that’s football.

I'm not certain what the rule is, but I believe recoveries are allowed immediately after the whistle while advancing the ball after recovery is not allowed after the whistle.

the ball technically wasn’t advanced, it was recovered in the endzone, so that would track.

like I said it was a weird ****ing play, sucks for the rams but boo hoo.

This makes sense considering the scrums for a loose ball which almost always happen after a whistle.

I have always heard the old phrase, "Penney Wise and Pound Foolish" when I hear about new open air stadiums in extreme climates.
