Can someone please explain this commercial to me? I know there's some sort of funny punchline behind it, but I just can't see it. The first time I saw Pilgrim Jack and the Native Americans and heard that "that's why Native American's still fondly refer to us as the White Man"...I was a little shocked. Am I missing the point?

Hey Jack...stick to fighting the fake shake cause and keep showing us your giant headed kid playing peewee football.

    Jack is actually white.

Caucasians, even pale ones? Not so much.

I dunno...I think I might have been looking too much into it. I was trying to fit the cordon bleu into the equation and just couldn't make it work...they were promoting that sandwich in the first place.:)

I am not sure about the whole Chicken Cordon Bleu thing either but the commercial is out and we are coming up on thanksgiving in about a week.

The funny part is the napkin holder.

I still laugh every time I see it, sticking the "fondly" in there perfects the line!

And yeah, it's because Jack is actually... white.

I thought it was a funny commercial. Yes the fact that Jack is truly white is humerous. I also loved the idea that the footage of the Thanksgiving stuff is made to look antiquated. It's funny because there is no point in having antiquated looking film since it wasn't around in the 1600's.

Talking about it isn't really funny but seeing it is.

I saw this commercial a couple of times during the Rox/laker game. But since I was in a bar, I didn't "hear" it. What punchline are you guys talking about. And the napkin holder was indeed hilarious.

The punchline is that the native americans "fondly refer to us as the white man" because of Horatio Box (Jack's ancestor).

I saw that commercial several times before finally hearing it a couple of days ago. I really couldn’t believe the ending punch line. I’m surprised it hasn’t caused some sort of controversy yet.

Somebody needs to capture this thing. Sounds pretty hillarious but we don't have Jack in the Box up here.

Not a funny commercial at all.

In fact, I change the channel every time it comes on.

To me, it kind of insults Native Americans, in a way.

Yeah, I was a bit scandalized. It is mildly funny, but the racial divide inherent in the "red man"/"white man" naming is a bit of a sore spot in this country. I was surprised they had the balls to run it; and I'm surprised that I haven't seen complaints in the news yet.

I find it funny, and glad people get that it is a parody and joke.

You'd have hated the first draft. Originally, Jack was going to brag about giving away smallpox-infested Sourdough Jacks and killing off the "genetically inferior savages", but that got taken down a few notches during the rewrites. Which is a good thing, I think.
