Lol: 'give me an example, but any example you give me I will summarily declare doesn't count for unexplained reasons.'

What example are you looking for, companies that made EV's were subsidized so that's picking winners and losers in a way. Wind power was subsidized etc... I guess that's what you were talking about?

What if you give a project a big subsidy, private investors invest hundreds of millions of dollars and then you use a federal agency's regulatory authority to declare that the project isn't allowed to operate after it is mostly built and already partly operational? Would that be picking winners and losers?

Or, what if you make a "strategic partnership" with key power plant makers in which you provide $80 billion in financial assistance and agree to facilitate permitting for new nuclear power plants in exchange for a 20% government interest in the new facilities? Would that be an example of picking winners and losers?

They prefer low costs of electricity. The highest cost states in the country for power are the ones who bought into the renewable energy fairy tale. High energy costs cripple the working class.

Probably wasting my breath here, but (1) Texas does have decently low electricity costs and (2) our large renewables fleet has been great for keeping prices down. Since we are now looking at a super cycle of demand growth, we need to focus on building dispatchable generation but those renewables still add to the affordability and flexibility of the grid. Our installed base isn't going away and while it will grow more slowly than before, I expect solar and battery to continue to be added to the system.

They're building a battery installation not too far from me, and I know little about the industry. Any good info/links?

Economics, water usage...just the general whatnot of what it's gonna be there for. I dunno. All of it?

I haven't been able to figure out who exactly owns it, yet.
