For a while I was hoping Shepard would start but I'm backing off of that idea now, not because of Reed but because this team is so thin at the guard spot. It's Amen, Reed and a huge talent drop off to Holiday and Davison.

Amen & Reed can't play 48 minutes a night - Ime is going to have to stagger their minutes so one or the other is on the floor at all times, outside of garbage time. I don't think we want to be relying upon Holiday or Davison for meaningful minutes.

We just have to hope Reed is ready ....

This makes a lot of sense, but I don't think we will start Adams against every team. So, who else would slip into the starting lineup for those games? Either Reed or Tari, at least until DFS is healthy

 

I believe in Commander Sheppard but I'm afraid he's going to get hunted on defense in the playoffs. They already do whenever he's on the court.

It's really a matter of if he can shoot lights out on offense. If he is consistently elite on offense, then I'm sure he'll be on the court. I know it's early but by Christmas this year, we should know if we really need FVV on this team or not.

 

You know I didn't even think of that. I'd been turned around to pro-Reed starting but that's actually a very good point. Lesbian Jalen is even less consistent than regular Jalen despite deceptively looking like a point guard, I'm not sure I'd even want them handling the ball over Holiday and I'm really not a big Holiday fan at all.

 

Breaded and deep-fried would be better. Not healthier, though.

Not every game would be this close, Reed will get enough development....it is just a tad too overwhelming for him.
