Even for zero risk projects, Nix is a terrible player project. JD Davison is barely an NBA player, and is Derrick Rose compared to Nix. The bitterness is cuz it was during a time of needing any hope from anything the franchise. Then Stone hyped Nix up as *"lottery talent", and basically blemished both Nix and Stone as flops at their job. (Though at least Stone has made up for it)

I'm generally easy, not emotionally invested in the player projections thing. Hit some & miss some. Just Nix specifically, can't remember a player so zero contributing in anything. Like if you said he checked into the game, lit a cig in his mouth & just jogged back & forth, that is as much "contribution" than I perceived of him having. Just didn't make sense his overall nothingness

 

Interesting video. Nix looks BIG playing amongst the kids. I'm sure they thought he'd be the next Magic Johnson.

I wish we still had cap space. Gary’s shooting continued to improve after he left Houston and he already had that tough defensive mindset. He was a charge merchant, plus when the nose turned red the other team was in trouble.

I think Jalen held himself back after high school because he felt too complete as a player and didn’t want to make it unfair for others. Playing for Ignite rarely works out, too.

 

Makes sense, for a minute I thought Stone was just bored and needed some transaction stimulation.

 

I am sure his shooting will drop at least 5% if he dons the Rockets uni again.
