[JD Davison] All is not lost!

maybe because JD plays / moves big & strong

 

If only we had he and Cam on the floor together. Who knows what the h would happen, but I do think pins would be blowing up... that's a lot of pin wreckage with two bowling balls. I wish Cam had had it together more (maturity, self-awareness), but I suppose that's why he slipped and we landed him in the first place.

 

Just from his highlights, his catch and shoot 3pt shooting looks pretty impressive. I know historically his 3pt% has been ass, but the sample size is pretty small and he probably generated more of his own shots in the G League. At least I think it's possible for him to be a league average shooter and properly space the floor. I hope he can develop well enough to supplement Holiday as the backup PG.

 

He looks very poise and under control. Impressive first game.

Davidson looks really good to me; solid back up, possible starter. Need to see him more in the preseason. At this point, he is a real surprise.

 

yeah always thought Stone traded Cam too soon. Just for 2 2nd rounders. He could have waited and still gotten the same return,

Why not start another thread about this gleague player who was waived by celtics for a reason.

 

He is already better IMO. Better defender, better scorer, better hustler, better ball handler, better playmaker and higher bball IQ.

 

He was waived to save money as cutting him put Celtics under the apron. They didnt cut him because he was bad lol.

 

I vividly remember Mike James getting hot, it was a fun stretch.......more fun than watching Rafer Alston getting hot.

 

James did get hot. Every three he shot seemed to drop. I actually didn't mind Rafer. I think he made the offense work. Obviously he couldn't shoot but I think we're about to deal with it again with Amen

I'll just be happy if Davison can provide us with some bench minutes this season, not expecting anything more from him, if even that. He's had himself a nice preseason though and earned a shot at continuing minutes if he keeps this up.

Sure would be nice to find a hidden gem for once though. We've been pretty starved for that under Stone. Best we've gotten with Tate, and I do like Tate, but I don't consider him a full-time NBA rotation player.

 

Sengun, Cam Whitmore and Tari were pretty good steals. Although looking its kinda insane Stone picked 3 frp busts and we still ended up with 5 good players in just 4 yrs.
