I'll catch it when it streams if I'm bored. The direction of the last half of 28 Years Later lost me as a fan.

Saw it last night and I personally loved it. Takes a different direction than the first film but it works really well, just as brutal but it also offers some dark comedy along the way. Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell are both great across the board, the story doesn't go where you think it will go which I kind of like but might bug some people but it does clearly pass the baton to the third film. A for me.....

So there is 28 Days later, 28 Weeks later, 28 Years later without any Bone Temple......fork.

I guess you're extrapolating because they skipped months, but wouldn't the next movie be decades?

I have already found the completed version of 28 Millennia Later.

And at this rate, it might be 28 decades later, haha... ha.

‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Hits VOD — Third Chapter Now in Limbo

If you missed Nia DaCosta’s “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” in theaters, you now have a chance to watch it in the comfort of your own home. After a disastrous theatrical bow, this sequel is now available to stream on VOD—around 30 days after it first hit theaters.

Despite great reviews, and a third film that had supposedly been greenlit prior to release—more on that below—“The Bone Temple” only grossed $25M domestically, with a $57M worldwide tally, on a reported $63M budget.

I wanted to see this but I just never had time as I’m sure is mostly the case with many who would be the main audience for this. People of my age who remember the first two movies are at an age now where we have kids and busy lives.

For a horror franchise like this to do well in movie theaters you probably need to appeal to 20 something’s who can go on a Saturday night to see a rated R horror film.

That’s why a Moana remake that is completely unnecessary will make a billion dollars while a good film that people want to see but just can’t will only break 50 or so million in theatres. Nobody my age has the ability to even go to the theaters unless I can take my kids with me.
