Trump is not even claiming imminent threat, from Iran against the US. At his press announcement, Trump promised more military attacks if Iran something something something. Zero chance Trump even consults Congress, before the next round of military strikes.

Jelly Brain does not think things through. Iran will attack US troops. Lives will be lost. Trump will never take responsibility for any of this. Rinse and repeat.

Most people have the attention span of a TikTok clip and can't remember that the exact same people backing Trump promoted decades of war in Afghanistan and invading Iraq based on a lie.

 

Rumor this morning is that North Korea is going to transfer nukes to Iran as a gesture of good will.

Ultimately the world is a less safe place than it was yesterday or two weeks ago.

Who knows maybe this is all theater as the Iranians knew about the attacks in advance and evacuated all three sites and the end damage seems to be less than expected.

What isn’t theater is what happened to Tel Aviv last night. Or throughout the rest of Iran.

 

The lesson we have taught the rest of the world over the last 30 years is that if you want to A) stay in power and B) be taken seriously then you have to have nuclear weapons.

So, to that end, if we want to make sure country X never gets a nuke, the only way to truly do that is full scale occupation.

I can be convinced that Iran is a developing existential threat to the US (I do not care what happens to Israel), but selling that idea to me is now 100x harder given the past 20 years of money laundering misadventures we've had in the middle east.

 

Doesn't it hinge on what 'to build' really means...looks like tulsi originally said they are not building it but that stockpiles are getting really high of enriched uranium, suspiciously so for a 'non-nuclear program'. If they aren't physically building the main components but working towards shortening the timeline to such a bomb, I mean isn't it for all intents and purposes 'building it? The runway time is the main thing that matters
