[RIP] George Coulam, the wench-loving King on ‘Ren Faire,’ Dies at 87

Why did he love wrenches so much?

 

Growing up in small-town Magnolia, King George was an odd character and a big deal. He alone altered the entire traffic pattern every weekend for two months a year.

Knew some people that had dealings with him, but don't know much about him other than his eccentricities.

saw his documentary a while ago. the last part when he does his speech with his speech coach conducting, the best.

 

He was a petty and cruel man.

Weird title. I had to look it up. RIP guy who was better known in these parts for founding the OG RenFest.

I hope my RIP is ‘RIP guy who wouldn’t accept Dallas lying about their geographic location’

 

My wife speculated it was suicide. It was his whole life then he fed his ego with the HBO show. Sad.

Anyway, rest in peace.

 

Even thought I grew up in Houston and have been familiar with the Ren Fest since I was a kid, the HBO doc was the first I heard of this guy. Seemed like a pretty weird dude.

Hey, if this was about Rush Linbaugh, would be saying the same thing.

If you are a DOUCHE while you live don't expect sympathy when you just did the world a favor and shuffled off into that mortal coil.
