    Growing up in small-town Magnolia, King George was an odd character and a big deal. He alone altered the entire traffic pattern every weekend for two months a year.

    Knew some people that had dealings with him, but don't know much about him other than his eccentricities.

    Appears he was shot. Unknown if suicide or murder. Given the lawsuit be lost.......

    My wife speculated it was suicide. It was his whole life then he fed his ego with the HBO show. Sad.

    Even thought I grew up in Houston and have been familiar with the Ren Fest since I was a kid, the HBO doc was the first I heard of this guy. Seemed like a pretty weird dude.
