The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum (2027)

Didn't they already make this movie?

 

Wow, Dec 17, 2027. Let me put this on my calendar right now!

 

I know they're going to stretch this movie to 3 unnecessary hours.

 

They are going to stretch it to 3 movies

 

I would’ve not green lit this without getting the actors who portrayed them in the originals first. So Ian McKellen as Gandalf first and then maybe this will be something to keep a close eye on.

 

Smeagol is easy to catch.....

 

Given the way our society is progressing it will be 3 hours of Gollum farting.

 

I had read that the entire gang is coming back for this even though that maybe more troubling. I’m assuming with the de-aging needed it’ll basically be a cgi bore like the Hobbit movies.

Right now everyone sounds “interested” which means they probably can’t say anything in order to let that’s be a big reveal at comic con or whatever.

 

They don’t have to de-age them that much though.

 

Ahh, this movie is based on the video game not the books.

No one ****ing cares about Gollum, tell Radagast's story, or Tom Bombidil, or the Elves.....

Or tell of the fall of Gondor and Aragon's bloodline.

Or none of those. Lord of the Rings was a good book and they made a good trilogy out of it. The Hobbit was a good book and they made... well, a movie out of it. Now, you're done. Stop going back to the well. It's dry. Try writing something original, maybe.

I didn't want to belabor my post with a pedantic discussion about how Tolkien's story was a single arc split into 3 books for publication for practical reasons. But thanks for pointing that out.

 

Hunt for the Second Red October would be a better movie
