    Please don't go Carlos
    14, 15, 16 Mil
    Whatever you want

    Stop raising my hopes
I should have known you would choke
    But I still love you

    The Rocket came back
    What a wonderful season
    Come back next year, please

    I'm not twenty-one
But I have the urge to drink
    Chug Chug Chug, go Stros

    Haikus are so fun
    Even after a bad loss
    We'll get 'em next year

    You ask it as though
    you had forgotten your tone-
    Gave up just past June

    To refresh your thoughts
    here we see your predictions
    far from the results

    Sure you think you're right
but you gave up too early
    And we all know it

    To which I replied
    in a quick witted response
    as you can see here

    And you retorted
    In a further doubting tone
    bitter, as always...

    ----

    Does this answer you?
    I am clearly taking you
    to task on this, drox.

    Smiley with a wink,
Followed by a big grin one
    this is all in jest...

    (Dude, this haiku junk
is perhaps the most fun way
    to cope with the loss!)

    WOW! That post was great!
    Very impressive haiku
    I must commend you!

    Yes, I was bitter
And, yes the 'Stros lost again
    But they didn't choke

    You are somewhat right
I'll admit I wrote them off
    At the midseason

    Yet they fought back hard
And showed a whole lot of heart
    Didn't really choke

    I was wrong a bit
For that, I will eat SOME crow
    but not a whole lot

    Because they still lost
    Another year of drowned hope
    Another heartbreak

    I'm still skeptical
I still have "Bitter 'Stros face"
    I still say they'll lose

    If they win it all
If they win the World Series
    then I will be wrong

    That's the only time
I'll have to eat major crow
    And say that I'm wrong

    But then we all know
In the bottom of our hearts
    It will never be

    Oh, and by the way
This thread's never going to die
    I won't allow it

    I will bring it back
    For each and every season
    unless Cluch locks it
