It would be cooler if an actual engineer or astronaut who actually scientifically contributed to space exploration became wealthy enough from that to own the Rockets as there is a actual connection between "Rockets" and the owner but Musk is just a glorified gamblers/salesman like all of the wealthiest capital owners are today... People who won in a glorified gambling (speculative) economy. He has little do with rockets. He just throws money around and tweets about how he agrees that Jews are collebarting to make white people into villains (the core premise of Nazi ideology).

I agree that when Elon Musk is not driven to change or rule the world he might get down to good old sports.

Right wing ideological people are just far more prone to scams like crypto and MLM schemes. Some of the most powerful Americans are owners of MLM scams as their main source of wealth. And they are all wealthy off the backs of right wing evangelical families.

If you follow a pro sports team, the odds of your favorite team being owned by right wing or right wing adjacent ideologues is quite high and near impossible to avoid. The best case scenario is your owner is someone like Cuban... just a billionaire who is just a tad less psychopathic and a tad bit more empathetic than his peers.
