would you trade fvv for harden this summer straight up

As a straight up swap yes it is a no brainer. But that wouldnt be possible lets be real.

Harden at 36M and only a 2 yr deal is one of the better value contracts in the league. Compare his efficiency to Jalen you think that isnt worth an extra 3M? lol. But we cant get him for just 3M and he doesnt want to leave LAC because he wants that max contract money after his deal is done.

 

He thinks Reed Sheppard who flopped in MM and can only excel in GLeague is the winning player.

 

If FVV comes back healthy, the Rockets will go back to being a better team than LAC even with Kawhi. It will be a miracle that the Rockets will be better than LAC despite Harden being clearly a better player.

Kawhi isn't the same player that he was in his prime...so they have 3 guys Powell included that are better...

Sengun is not a Top 20 player in the NBA currently.
Amen is not a Top 20 player in the NBA currently.

I have a tough time believing those three statements are true, and Powell and Harden are both clearly better than FVV.

 

I have a tough time imagining they have better role players than the Rockets, all the young ones are either on the verge of becoming borderline All Stars or are really good role players already.

Meh. If we wanted to do that both teams and players (FVV and Harden) would happily opt-in and trade. They're going to become FA and trade target chasers, they won't want Harden to walk for nothing. FVV's expiring is perfect for them to attach picks and acquire someone.

No thanks. We're dumping Green and FVV and we will without question have to dump one of Amen or Sengun after that because "the system" doesn't work with 2 non-shooters and you'll just have an unhappy Harden who won't pass them the ball. Harden will literally tell Amen not to cut or be in the dunker's spot so what on earth will Amen be doing if Sengun is setting the pick?
