The "Altuve in LF" Thread

Since Bregman has not been signed, I posit that the Astros appear to be considering "Altuve in Left" regardless.

 

Brice Matthews could play 2B soon. Jose Altuve most likely moved to LF regardless of Alex Bregman is with the Astros or not. Brice Matthews I think is needed on the top of the Lineup.

 

But who ever will he have with whom to play his cute, flirty little games all the way out there by his lonesome?

 

Can’t wait for Altuve and the Outfielders celebrations after the win.

 

I still think will be Peña and Bregs. Left side celebration.

 

Now if Altuve were to go to RF he'd be ALT RIGHT

Altuve will need to hit the cutoff man on every throw to home plate.

 

If Tony Sipp an play LF, Altuve can play LF.

 

Who plays 2nd, if Altuve is in LF? Dezenzo?

 

I completely like the idea.

Astros need offense in the outfield - and Altuve’s deteriorating defense at 2B costed the team 3-4 games last season.

This move keeps Yordan at DH more often plus other guys can replace Jose at 2B.

We still need another OF bat, or Chas to go 750 OPS, but I’m not too confident in the latter

Either a platoon of Luis Guillorme and Mauricio Dubon, or Paredes moves to 2B and Dezenzo plays 3B.

 

I like the idea of Altuve in left field about as much as I like Altuve's base running ability.

We need his bat in the lineup but leave him at second base or DH. Put someone else in left field.

That is what makes sense to me.

 

and Chaz and his noddle arm to RF?

All three of the Mel-fielders have played RF in The MLB, so there is that.
Taylor Trammell - 37 games in RF
Cooper Hummel - 3 games in RF
Ben Gamel - 255 games in RF

 

Dubon would because his defense is elite there.
