    I hope Marcus Smart is on the list. Ime seems to like him and his shooting isn't horrendous. Backup point guard depth

    Marcus Smart isn’t a buyout candidate this season as he is under contract for 21 million in 2025-2026.

    3% never goes down if you don't shoot it (but isn't Simmons at 0% for the season anyway??)

    To be fair, as far as I know, Simmons isn't violent, he's just soft/lazy

    So at least there should be 100% fewer bowls of soup thrown at people and girlfriends attacked in hotels

    I don’t know how coveted Brogdon would be across the NBA as a buyout option, but he is an upgrade on Aaron Holiday as the Rockets’ backup point guard.

    Financial low risk, cultural medium risk. Non-availbility high risk. (which for backups or bench is still important: we see it this year when Tari can't play b2b, or Adams being out on certain days).

    Nets beat us twice, if Simmons made an impression, I might sing a different tune. He played in the first game (20+ min) but 2nd worse +/- on his squad for their win. Didn't played in the second game.


    There has to be better options out there.

    Single game +/-, etc etc

    He's actually averaging 7 assists in 25mpg (10 per 36 minutes) so he immediately becomes the best passer on the team--when available.

    I mean, I would expect him to miss games, but anything to take some of the load off of FVV is welcome IMO.
