    Is Houston for sure getting a franchise? If so when and will the be named the Oilers?

    Yes we are getting a franchise. Houston will start playing in 2002. Right now the team has no name. Go here and see..

    About the teams name the commissioner said when he granted the franchise that the name the oilers was dead.
