The LeBron SweepStakes: Who You Got?

    Where Does LeBron End Up?
Where do YOU think he should do?

He needs to go to a place that is close to winning but need Leadership
Philly suits the bill the most.
He almost always goes to the NBA Championship when he is in the East

Gonna go with the boring answer and say LAL.

Windhorst hinted that if a deal is struck, it's likely sooner than later. Sooner being before he's shipped off for the Olympics.

He’s not going anywhere. Stayin’ his ass right there in LA.

This **** is so tiring. Media and talking heads gonna spend the next 2 months talking about this when there ain’t really nothing to discuss.

    Ham will be fired.
    LeBron will stay.
Bronny may or may not join him.
    Lakers will make some moves.
Lakers fans will claim Pelinka/Lakers are offseason winners and next year is the year. Banner 18 is on the way!
And by this time next year, similar results and “Fire Pelinka!” “Fire [the new coach]!”
    And another new scapegoat. It’s Walton’s fault, Vogel’s fault, Ham’s fault, Schroder’s fault, Kuzma’s fault, Westbrook’s fault, D-Lo’s fault…
Long shot not named LA: Golden State (Stays in Cali but I guess that’s have to be a s&t and I’m not up to date on the new CBA rules and apron and salary matching and all that. But again, think he’s staying.)

He will stay in LA. Not much doubt.

I am really tired of all the LeBron noise. I wish he'd retire so the NBA can move on.

The Lakers will do just about anything to keep the cash cow of Lebron's final season(s) -- so I think he stays in L.A.

Philly is more of a guarantee to go further
I dunno if LeBron can deal with Thibs
and won't really go back to Riley

What is the appeal of Philly?

Morey is a lying POS who nobody likes and Embiid is totally unreliable…not to mention going from the city of LA to Philadelphia is a big downgrade

    all they have is Maxey

LeBron isn't a sweepstakes. You could add him to a team with a top-ten player and solid role players and win less than 50 games. That's basically what happened with the Lakers.

LeBron will stay in LA. They'll acquire Bronny somehow. He'll play with his son, which will be beautiful for many reasons, some of which go beyond basketball. He'll also make a lot of money and make the Lakers and the NBA a lot of money. And the Lakers will still be a playoff team if he and Davis avoid significant injuries. Who knows if they hit on a third max-level type player and contend?

Just kidding, no idea, but he likely retires in LA or maybe where Bronny plays.

    Was James ever transparent?

Also wouldn't Bryce be better than Bronny?

LeBron scored 25/7/8 on 63% TS. Yeah you tell me what's the appeal in that lol.

Lebron's old with bad defense he can no longer be a top star in the NBA. But as a 2nd/3rd banana or supporting role he is still one of the best options.

I hope he leaves LAL because that team is maxed out, I also thought they had solid role players but all of their roster have sucked besides LeBron and AD. Maybe he can go to GSW and have one last run with Steph. Not gonna happen but he should also consider the Rockets, he keeps losing to Jokic but the Rox beat the Nuggets 3-1 for the season lol.

LeBron's numbers hide his athletic decline and inability to close out and impact games. If you want to see a play that perfectly demonstrates his physical decline, look at Aaron Gordon's clutch offensive rebound in G5. If you want to see his problems with closing out a game, look at the several mental lapses in his play that led to several important Denver runs. Also, look at how angry he gets, like when he was yelling at the Laker's bench or that weird incident with the fan in Denver. He's an old grouch.

Despite that, he can not be a 2nd/3rd banana. That's not his game. It's not in his makeup. It's not in his muscle memory. He will revert to the same-old, same-old because that's what he knows, and he needs to remain engaged in the grind of a game. If he joins Philadelphia, for example, he would have a mental breakdown playing the Tobias Harris role. Maxey and Embiid would have to sacrifice scoring and playmaking to keep LeBron from flipping out.

Do you not understand what TS% means? The "numbers" don't hide anything they show what is real and what is human bias. 63% TS means LeBron was pretty much automatic whenever he had the ball.

A game is 48 mins long I don't care if you mess up in the last 2 mins you can just be benched. What's important is over the course of the entire 48 mins of you produced or not. Overemphasis on last minute heroics is what children do.

l also like how you hate on LeBron being a grouch when MJ and Kobe are straight up bullies and douchebags compared to LeBron. MJ wouldn't even let players who played bad get food after games but LeBron gets mad and he is the worst. Really?

he played 44 minutes, had 30/11/9 and 4 steals on 24 shooting possessions and was +3 in a game his team lost. If he could play a more normal minute total, maybe 34-36, he could still bring solid defense, he just can't go 44 minutes as the main guy AND play great defense (to be fair, there are basically 0 guys who can do that in the league)

The funny thing is we treat him as a player but dude is really just a phenomenon and probably wants to be the GM of his next destination at age 40.

it's just WILD how good he still is for his age/experience. Most guys are happy to hang on as a 9th or 10th man like a vince carter, and james is still a top 20 guy

If he was concerned about winning as many rings as possible, he would not have gone to LA back in 2018. So, I think he stays there for the same reason he went there originally - he likes living there and it's a big market.
