Jamal Hill is one of my favorite picks in the draft. He runs a 4.4 and can play safety or linebacker. Put simply, Jamal is here to stop Lamar Jackson. He's going to spy on the QB and make sure running QB's don't light up the Texans like they did last year.

I'm not sure as to go that far but it would be great to finally get a late round pick to end up being a MAJOR factor in the lineup.

It’s far more likely he’s a career special teams player than having an actual role in packages.
He’s 216 pounds. That’s not even big for a safety.

    216 isn't big for a safety?

Derwin James is 6'2 215 LBS

No that’s not big for a safety. That’s average size for a strong safety.
6’ 216 is average to below average size for most strong safeties, never mind linebackers

Biggest safeties I know are Derwin James and Kyle Hamilton. Hamilton being 6'4 220.

Jamal Hill is actually listed at 6'0 226. That's pretty big for a Safety. Christian Harris is listed at 6'1 226.

Either way, I don't think you need to be BIG to play the positions.

He dropped weight for the combine. He played at 226lb this season.

He fits the type of player Ryans targets.

He will be focused and prepared and that is very important when you are talking about a sport with 53 active players. Ryans doesn't want young men with poor work habits, that have personal issues or discipline issues. He wants the culture to be positive and professional and cerebral.

He was 216 at his proday. Not 226

Scarface already mentioned it. 226 was his play weight. I understand why you're going by that but does this look like 216 to you?

Scarface has no idea what he’s talking about when it comes to football. He’s on ignore for a reason.
Yes, that looks 216. He was “listed” at 226 at Oregon. That doesn’t mean he was 226.
What reason would he drop 10 lbs before draft? He knew he was going to play linebacker, not dropping weight for that.

Either way, he’s small. Can be an elite special teams player, but it’s highly doubtful this kid is in any sub package come game days. Unless there is a lot of injuries

I won't deny the first part. He could have dropped to test better. Lance Z mentioned that this morning and even if he was 216, he can definitely bulk this off-season to 226.

I think he’ll have to personally.
I’m not knocking the kid, I just don’t see him in sub packages this season. Special teams is where he will make his mark imo.
    Which is always needed

Wanting the To'o To'o proverbial jump but if he doesn't that spot will be up for grabs.

“Mac Jones is better than any QB in the 2023 except Bryce Young” - cmoak. You are ****ing idiot. Article from last season…227lbs:
    https://www.registerguard.com/story...l-safety-linebacker-stats-pac-12/70129106007/

post draft: he already back up to 226lb since his pro day. He lost weight to be faster because he didn’t know what position he was going to be projected at (safety or LB).

https://www.click2houston.com/sport...'s up to 226 pounds, with the best safety time.

    Dumbass.

Of course the resident imbecile is going to cherry pick quotes. He’s a BOB fan.

We were discussing a rumored trade, and I said I would trade do the trade with the Pats if we couldn’t get Bryce. 2-3 firsts and Mac for 1.2.
I didn’t like Stroud and thought Mac was a better option than Levis/AR. So much for Levis being “my guy”.
Dude lies so much he conflates reality with his own fiction. Idiot

Oh, no doubt. Azeez and Harris are going to be the ones playing the most. I'm still playing To'oTo'o over him too unless he just proves he's here to stay.

Good to know he's back up to 226. Maybe we can mold him into a Dre Greenlaw. His speed is going to be a big factor.

I doubt he’s back up to 226 that quick. And if he had to drop weight to run fast, he’s not retaining that speed when he does bulk up.

He's a 6h rd pick. If he isn't cut next year that will be an accomplishment.
