https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2024/...-buzz-adam-schefter-hearing-round-1-picks-qbs The NFL's investigation into alleged tampering charges against the Falcons for their involvement with then-free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Eagles for their involvement with then-free-agent running back Saquon Barkley is ongoing and could reach a conclusion as early as this week, per sources. Sources believe the discipline, which is likely to involve draft picks, is expected to be more severe for the Falcons. Here are two examples of tampering discipline from the NFL: The Dolphins forfeited their 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 third-round selection for tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Payton on three occasions from 2019 to 2022. Team owner Stephen Ross and vice chairman/limited partner Bruce Beal were fined; Ross was fined $1.5 million, while Beal was fined $500,000. The Chiefs forfeited their 2016 third-round pick and a 2017 sixth-round selection for tampering with Jeremy Maclin in 2015. The Chiefs were also fined $250,000. Coach Andy Reid was fined $75,000, and general manager John Dorsey was fined $25,000.
Commodes just released Shaka Toney. He was suspended by the NFL for placing bets while ON NFL team grounds. Was it stupid what he did? Yes. Just wait until you get away from the facility, buddy. Would I sign him to play MLB? You BET I would. Great pass rusher at Penn State + great measureables. I think he was miscast as edge rusher in DC. I think he has the tools to be excellent MLB who can also help rush the passer. Plus he could add to the best ST unit in the NFL.
Kid needed a fresh start. Reboots usually don't work, but for some reason I think he could figure it out.
Time for Denver to blow it up. Sean Payton isn’t going to be patient with him. This isn’t a good situation for Wilson or Payton (who wants to win now). I’d blow it up and clean house with the coaching staff after this year. BTW. The NFL has punted on developing QBs. You either ready to play from day one or you’re traded or cut. It’s the way of the NFL and the worst thing to happen for a young QB is for another young QB to have early success. It’s hardball for these young QBs
I really think we should grab him. We got a lot riding on Okudah suddenly living up to his potential and Stingley staying healthy. that being said, I’m not too familiar with Okudah’s game, or more importantly his skills/challenges, but what about signing Howard and then sliding Okudah to nickel and seeing if that helps him? that being said, I would rather draft Sainristil for nickel.
