Still don't have anything against him. It's strange when people are so intent on taking one position of a person and measuring the whole person on that. And your case it's even worse because you have pre-defined the categories and labels and try to fit people into those categories.

The reality is that people are more complex than that. They might check some boxes in one category but not every box in that category. Your entire posting history in the recent past is an attempt to deny that.

You're entitled to do that, but it isn't a win for anyone, least of all for you.

 

You certainly don't have to raise awareness about Israel-Palestine, over 80% of the global population has known what's up for decades. Awareness is redundant now, whatever it was going to achieve has been achieved. Playing volleyball with PR talking points ain't going to do ****.

Radical action and organizing are the only things that matter to affect change. Finding common ground with people is important for re-establishing empathy after decades of conditioning imposed on all of us.

The time for trying from keyboards and selfie videos is over imo. That "trying" battle is won. Everyone who can be convinced has been convinced. There is no issue in human history where US-dollar blank checks have been given to PR companies for like 75 consecutive years and it's all down the toilet. Public opinion hasn't moved one centimeter (probably more pro-Palestine than ever in the last 6 months). The PR money is just preventing an eventually unavoidable decision that will flood in - and as always, the US government will get on the bandwagon last (see: Mubarak, Mandela). Since 1948 to date, most of the people in the world support the Palestinian people. A small minority supports Israel. That's never ever going to change. That's not the problem or the solution.

The non-violent solution comes from people's economic decisions and media choices. Mandela, Gandhi, MLK >> study the ones who forced the head of the snake to change policy.

 

The crux of the matter is that Palestinian leaders have never been willing to live in peace next to Jews. Two million Palestinians are thriving, Israeli, citizens who peacefully coexist with Israeli Jews. The problem isn't the Jews; the problem is the CORRUPT Palestinian leadership.

Like I said, there's no point discussing who's right or wrong anymore. That battle is over, the needle is never going to move. Everyone has made up their heart and mind. You debating details here is not going to have more impact than 75 years of pro-Israel blank-cheque PR featuring news anchors, presidents, celebrities, newspapers, podcasts, radio shows, tv shows, laws, etc. Surely you understand that. Likewise, I'm not going to move you if you think it has something to do with Jesus or Moses. The world has never on any issue been this unified for this long in the face of this much repeated messaging from both sides. It's actually a stunning outlier in history.

My point is simply that whatever you believe, it's time to take an action rather than debate endlessly. People's hearts are set. If you want to sit on the sideline and wait for Jesus, that's good for you.

 

Again the Palestinian Authority did make peace with Israel. An frequent complaint among Palestinians in Israel / Arab Israelis is that they are treated as second class citizens in Israel and aren’t exactly thriving.

 

This thread is primarily about Israel but this point applies to many issues where people form binary opinions on.

it’s far simpler and more comforting to take a view of one side good the other side evil especially when you’re fed a constant stream of media that just reinforces that view. Reposting such content makes you feel like you’re part of the struggle. What is called Facebook activism.

 

The Arab Israelis have more rights in Israel than anywhere in the Arab world, especially women, gays and "apostates".

How are Jews treated in Gaza? Or in the rest of the Arab world, for that matter?
