Rookie manager, rookie mistakes.

 

It's because he doesn't even make the simple decisions like using your best defensive OF in a close and late situation. It has cost him a game already and might have cost him another one yesterday. The Astros are playing way below their stats because the manager is stupid.

 

I'm about done with Espada to be honest. He's looking more and more like someone who just doesn't seem to make the right decisions. Not pinch hitting for Abreu just now is the latest example. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, close game, 2 outs, and Abreu. Again. It's maddening.

 

Has Abreu always tap danced like that pre swing?

 

He doesn’t really seem to have a feel for making the correct decision in important moments.

Funny I didn’t bring up Dusty but you did. Dusty won us a WS and was either in the WS or one game away from it every year he was here. That hate in your heart will wear on you. Dumb ****

 

Completely agree and I’ve been saying it was a faulty roster since opening day

But doesn’t excuse Espada for continuing to run Abreu out there. Jon ain’t a lot better, but he is better

Dusty didn't win ****. The Astros had an idiot proof team that Dusty couldn't **** up and rode a hot bullpen to a WS title. The Phillies were the last NL team to qualify of the playoffs and got hot. The Astros won the most games in the AL and outscored the Phillies by 4 total runs over a 6-game series. Dusty's true colors shown brightly the next year when he lost all 4 home games in the ALCS while benching 2 of our top 5 hitters for most of the series. It's crazy you keep sucking that Dusty dick when he's been one of the worst post-season managers in the history of baseball. Taking really good teams with elite talent and losing with them.
