I suggest you read up on the FEC rulings. Trump had over 50 reported campaign violations. The FEC Office of General Counsel recommend investigations and charges be filed in 29 of those cases. You have to have 4 votes to proceed. There are 6 commissioners. Every single time the 3 Republicans voted against the recommendations of their own OGC to protect Trump GOOD DAY!
Never heard of that happening in NYC, but happens all the time in DC. I've seen it happen firsthand, and it's extremely disturbing. It's also crazy the causes that people try to bring to light by doing this because it's not always so obvious. The guy I saw in DC light himself on fire on the Ellipse was yelling about some sort of situation in Malaysia. So probably nothing to do with Trump. MAGA folks don't strike me as the light yourself on fire types. They strike me more as veiled threats on the internet types with the occasional insurrection when they think they are getting a Presidential pardon.

From what I’m hearing on the news was that he is a 37 year old who was very antigovernment. He had with him several “colorful” pamphlets critical of the government.
Yeah I saw his info get out there after I posted that. Looks like a Qanon type of dude who has had his brain poisoned by aholes like Alex Jones. I know people here will get all worked up if we call him a Trump supporter but looking into his “cause” and it’s impossible to now decouple the two events as unrelated imo. Pretty scary actually when you think about it that we might have crossed that threshold. Imagine being a juror and knowing that a guy was literally willing to die in flames just to prove the system is rigged etc. I totally expect that we’ll have jurors drop out by Monday.
