This is just false. And nowhere do they mention Slabs. Mainly because it’s only prevalent in a small subculture of car culture
Awe, poor baby with the racist stuff. One, you think im white? lol Two, I’d beat the brakes off you kid. Don’t test me
When you ACTUALLY watch broadcasts you will see what is shown of Houston, is graffiti art downtown, food, rappers, NASA.
Stop it. You’re the one living in the past, Houston rap and slab culture was the 90s. Paul Wall is a gray haired rapper, Bun B is 51 years old
I’m not a b I don’t like the font or the helmet by itself but the outline in blue and the kit as a whole in this concept is pretty sweet.
The typical cut/transition pieces on the TV broadcast involve: BBQ Livestock/horses Cowboy boot/hat makers Johnson Space Center Discovery Green Sam Houston/Herman Park Galleria/Waterwall It's been this way ever since the Texans arrived on the scene.
No they’re not. They do show some of the art. But they show Hermann park, discovery green, the bulls, skyline, bbq, horses. They don’t show rappers in national broadcasts. They aren’t relevant outside of Houston
NASA is increasingly less present in the broadcasts. Graffiti is almost non-existent (a piece will get shown every once in a great while). Rappers completely absent. Interesting alternate reality you live in.
Lol this is quickly becoming the urban music at Toyota Center thread all over again. I'm 36 years old and white and from Houston with disposable income. When I think of Houston culture I 100% think Paul Wall, Bun B, SLAB cars AND all the other things you mention. If you look at the replies on the leak threads on reddit it's a lot more positive feedback, we just have a much older audience on average over here.
Me? Kid, you have no idea who I am. Don’t start with that. Houston rap culture isn’t big nationally. It’s a subculture even in Houston. My playlists still have a ton of old school mixtapes. I have all the after the kappa mixes, because I was at the Kappa. People grow up, people mature. You realize it’s a fad, and it’s not prevalent.
You are 36. Paul Wall, B, Slim, Chameleon, Zero were big when you were a kid. That’s the only reason you resonate with them. White kids like you keep rap afloat. Has nothing to do with urban or not. It’s not a huge culture in Houston, and definitely not one that resonates with the nicer areas of Houston (the ones buying season tickets in the lower bowls)
