You are correct. I see Newton as DT. In my post, I was referring to Nose Tackles normally expect a bigger drop in the draft selection from their Pre Draft Rankings.

The Texans are going to have to make a lot of trades during the draft. I don't see the roster spots to add 4 draft picks from the 6th and 7th rounds. I could see the Texans trading back from 42, but then also trading up from 86. I don't see many Jeremiah Trotter LB selections from the Texans in mock drafts. That dude seems like the ideal prospect for what Demeco wants on this team.

Crap, can't believe it starts next Thursday night. Sucks we won't see the Texans picking on that night, but who knows.

I think we go up to get Newton if he slides into the 25 - 31 range.

You don't think there's room to add 9 players in the draft?

    They could easily

    Add 2 RB, TE, LB.

    Also a DT,Edge and a an OT.

There's plenty of room to add 9 players, although I don't think they add 9 players.

I agree that the Texans have needs that need to be addressed such as the examples you have provided. With a 6th or 7th round pick you have to sign them to a 4 year contract and then they have to play better than someone already on the roster. Your going to have to have to fake injuries to keep them.

That's fine. Slip on down to us in the 2nd round and we'll take care of him.

Jay Cutler was the same way. When his blood sugar was low, he was hard to deal with.
