It assumes a lot: that many hostages haven't been dead for a while, that many weren't killed in bombing up to this point, that some weren't inadvertently killed by Hamas, and that they would've all been moved to Rafah where they could be successfully rescued. I don't see how an even more violent, but faster, bombardment of Gaza would've saved their lives when we don't know the circumstances of their deaths now. Hamas doesn't want too many of them to die because they're the only leverage Hamas has over Israel at this point.
It's not about an "even faster bombardment", it's about going in with ground troops. If you were to believe 30k Gazans killed (I don't), that would be what, roughly 0.5% of the Gazan population, so with 140 hostages, assuming more than 1 or 2 were killed by IDF bombs would be a stretch. And you are making assumptions about Hamas' rational treatment of hostages which are likely to be wrong. Personally, I fear that many of them are dead, especially the younger women who have been raped.

Try to have sympathy for poor ol ATW.
