That "all policing in America developed from slave patrols?" Were the people walking the streets of New York chanting, "What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want them? Now." big Trump supporters? What about the BLM activists chanting "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon." Was it MAGA that burned the 3rd Precinct in Minneapolis? Were they MAGA stans that tried to trap police officers in the burning East Precinct in Seattle? No, I'm afraid that the MAGA hate of law enforcement pales in comparison to the progressives, they really only seem to hate that law enforcement is going after Trump.
I won’t deny that there are many in the Left who have said hateful things about law enforcement but based on the above post would you agree then that the side that likes to talk about “Back the Blue” is hypocritical in regard to when law enforcement goes after Trump?
Yes, I've heard those from the left. But they don't have a major party presidential nominee calling those that assaulted law enforcement in mass patriotic hostages. To that point, there are certainly some on the left that are against law enforcement. But it isn't the presidential candidate who is currently dictating the policy and positions of the whole party. It is the difference between some extremists on the outside on the left and the direction and policy of the whole party on the right.
To add the Rightwing hostility to law enforcement didn’t begin with pursuit of Trump but has been there for decades. The terrorist attack ion the Murrah Federal Building was motivated by extreme Rightwing hatred of federal law enforcement.
