Iran's media has been state controlled for decades. They've played charades feigning freedom of the press, but have broad powers which they use all the time. Iran has the highest number of journalists jailed in the Middle East. All that said, the amount of propaganda, and disinformation in the US media these days is an abomination. Doubling, tripling, quadrupling down, and so on regardiing the big lie...really sad state of affairs.
