Hell 4/14 and 0/5 for Brooks...FVV missed his final 11 shots. I would bet my house on Amen hitting one outta 5, Jabari and Jalen for sure.
Crazy thing is - Jalen wasn’t even jacking shots.. he wasn’t driving hard offensively but you can’t get to rim with Amen in game (teams adjusted and we haven’t) FVV Jalen Cam Bari Landale should have been lineup .. would of spread court allowed them to attack Lofton
He has to mentally think he is going to change diapers and wake in the middle of the night and then he realizes he's got nannies but it gives him anxiety.
Fred was exhausted by the end, but he did more than enough to justify the playing time. Brooks was awful though. He kept trying to eurostep his way to the basket and couldn't finish anything. Ime's done a great job this season, but he has some bizarre Dusty Baker-like vendettas against certain players on this team while allowing others a lot of leeway.
Fred was hot most of the game and was playing a lot of minutes. Once they keyed in on him he understandably went cold and there was no one else making shots. This is a game we could have really used Jalen, but he was cold the entire game. Your shooting guard has to be able to make shots. If not it affects your entire offense.
I’m mad for Jabari and Cam, and a little miffed for Jalen…though it looks like they were pretty engaged on the bench celebrating our occasional good plays. Jalen aside, what exactly did Bari and Cam do to not get minutes? Unless Ime told them that maybe it’s the last time Uncle Jeff would play this season? Maybe everybody sacrificed their minutes to give the vets a final hurrah? Otherwise this was complete bullshit.
Y’all need to understand that Ime didn’t care about winning this game. That’s not what any of this was about. They have to figure of who they are first. The outcome of this game was meaningless but it’s possible this game wasn’t meaningless.
