I’ve been saying for years that you cannot trust these interpreters. Half the time you don’t even know what they are saying.

So you’re saying these two dudes were together 24-7 and Ohtani didn’t know about this.
All the while he is getting his bank account drained?

Ohtani spent less 500 dollars a month when he was in Japan. His mom took care of his apartment and food bills. Ohtani is wired differently.

Don't banks ask for social numbers, addresses, or pass codes to verify that it's you.

Man, I really didn't think there was any way that Ohtani wasn't in on this...but the details from the federal investigation make it seem like he wasn't. That there was no damning evidence on Ohtani's phone is pretty important as I would imagine there would have been SOMETHING in there indicating he knew what was going on. I know people are going to claim a coverup, but I don't think the federal investigation has any real reason to cover things up, so I trust the info that is being reported.

I wonder if the banks involved will change their policy about how they confirm big transfers after this all gets out. I haven't heard which bank it was yet.

You've got 16 million, MLB, the blossoming industry of "legalized" gambling, the worldwide/globalization of baseball, the big bookie and all that entails..WHAT IS INVOLVED IN 6 FIGURE TRANSFERS ON UP (ALONG WITH THE IMPLICATIONS THERE)..#'s consistent with what Ohtani would be betting....It's waaay too big, and they're covering it up. Interpreter is the ridiculous sounding fall guy when taking all this into account.

Additionally, while investigators found gambling records for Mizuhara with MGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel, none of the companies had records under Ohtani’s name, and Ohtani’s browser history “did not contain any evidence that Victim A had ever accessed the gambling websites used by” Bowyer.

...it's not that hard to hide browsing history. Just saying.

    Man, you're no fun.

Only reason I even care about this story is because I thought we would be able to troll dodger fans.
