There's a decent sub-section of this forum that would love to follow a team like the Royals. High level prospects throughout with excitement for promise at the big league level... and willing to withstand 4-5 years of being non-competitive to do so (and rinse/wash/repeat.... sellers at trade deadlines, etc.). Then again, the Astros have a top 5 payroll and have no room for any decent additions. Maybe this is for the best... one way or the other.
It’s getting less and less “reactionary” to hit that panic button….even still early. And those concerns some of us had with our starting rotation in free agency and before the season?……..yep…..
There is nothing that can fix this except players stepping up. Does Espada make them feel uncomfortable in clubhouse ? Are Astros burned out and exhausted already? only thing that fixes this if we continue to suck is fire sale at all star break.
Hits + Walks 16 - Astros 18 - Royals 13-3 L RISP 2-13 - Astros 6-11 - Royals Stros had zero "extra" bases and no productive outs that I recall. Royal had at least SIX. This crap can't last much longer. Or maybe it can.... .
Astros are 4-10 even though they have 4 players hitting over .315. That sounds like a mid 90’s Rockies team.
Somehow we are only 3.5 games out of first. Wasn't that true around the last week of last season and we won it?
