Lol that's that NBA bs. Just like how that stupid in season tournament was created with the intention of the Lebron James Lakers winning it first so they can make Lebron the face of this new thing. Now all of sudden the Lakers are winning again for playoff purposes Lol. Place your bets and win $$$ off of this stuff... I know I do.
Now they are in the 8th spot so they have for now more than one chance to make the playoffs instead of the one and done game between the 9th and 10th seed. This is exactly what the league wants, both the Lakers and now Golden State to potentially be in the playoffs.
If it makes anyone feel better about the 5 game losing streak, the Rockets never had a shot at the play-in. The Lakers and Warriors are both sitting at 35 losses. It's looking like we would've had to finish the season on a 20-game winning streak to catch either of them.
With all the recent improvement the Lakers are back in the 9 spot after two losses to their potential play-in or playoff matchups depending on how the season finishes in the West. I do hope the Lakers and Warriors face off in the 9/10 spot- one of them has got to go.
Not only could one or both of those teams miss the playoffs entirely, but either the Mavs or Clippers are guaranteed to go home after the first round. I hope things revert to being more balanced between the conferences next season, cuz this is ridiculous.

Let's be honest 46 wins to make 10th place and the final play in position is quite insane. It actually made the Warriors the best 10th ranked team in history. Quite the outlier.
