No. Their pressure defense was locked in during the 4th quarter and we played around it. They went to it off and on, which is what they do, and we survived the pushes. Our offense made mistakes but won the game. I pat the offense on the back this game and our defense fought hard to keep our heads above water. It was a nice game. Their defense is the only thing that made it ugly, that beautiful blitzing defense in Orlando. Can't wait to see it used in their playoff run.
Dude is a good player but he always looks awkward moving in space on the floor. Like someone walking in the dark trying not to stub their toe.
Yeah that was stupid - but whatever, Jalen is like 22 years old. I do know his girl will get sick of that ****.
Yes Jalen shooting is Def a major issue, can't have a shooting guard who can't shoot. BUT at least that's the only thing missing in his game now. He is only 22 if players like Lou Dort, Jason Kidd, Rajon Rondo, Kyle Lowry, freaking LeBron can rehab their shot why not him? Jalen has proven to be more than capable everywhere else and looked like a true superstar when his shot was falling. That's Def encouraging if both Sengun and Jalen break out next year we are looking at a potential dynasty. And we ain't even talking about Jatari, Amen, Cam and the incoming lotto pick.
He is half black and people hear the N word everywhere now. Hell Kai Cenat says the Nword every other sentence and his primary demographic are kids.
I think if he was MOSTLY taking easy threes or truly open looks like Dort, Suggs and mid to late career Rondo and Kidd, he'd be shooting at least 36-37% from three this year, but that to me would rid him of his most promising offensive attribute which is shot creation. I think it's not purely that Jalen isn't a good shooter, it's that he's not currently a good enough shooter to make up for the difficulty of the shots he takes and he's also not great as a spot up shooter yet because he generates rhythm through having the ball in his hands. I think as he gets smarter with training and locks in on what he needs to work on, both the quality and shooting percentage of his shots will go up. And plus, isn't Ben Sullivan some sort of shot doctor? Having another offseason to work either with him or on the shooting fundamentals that he imparted on Jalen this season might be helpful too.
indeed Its almost like sometimes thinking the man behind the wizard of oz curtain is joystick controlling him Or when he drives with the intent to pass, he seems so nervous, but I always catch myself and realize how young he is, so from last season to now he has improved and I expect his catch n shoot 3 ball to reach R Lewis /Peja S. level by year 4 with all star-ish level defense Also his middie will be money KD lite by then as well, Sully will be on putting in triple OT, if there is such a thing
Green has always been self aware, from off court branding to him speaking this current staff into existence saying they needed discipline/structure(Ime) and floor general(VV) And he knew he had to work on his strength and defense and overall game mandated by Ime At least we know for sure is that the summer program from the coaching will be way better for him than Silas (outside of the Curry booklet)
