ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Mavericks 4/7/2024

Houston sports teams have to be the least clutch of any major city. Sadly, up 3 w 15 seconds to go, many of us KNEW it wasn’t going to work out. Seen it 1,000 times, yet somehow it still completely ruins my afternoon.

Game was on Jabari. Dude is not a consistent shooter, not a good defender, he gets bullied in the post. Doesn't rebound like he should. I could go on and on buts it's not worth it. With Eason back next yr Jabari shouldn't be starting

This season prior to todays game Jabari was 43% from 3 and 54.5% from the FT line in “clutch” situations.

Rockets choked BUT….

Call weak touch fouls in the middle of the game.

Don’t call **** at the end. Don’t call **** when they know you have to foul and see you’re trying to foul.

Next time, lay a mother****er out. Push, shove, hack, gouge an eye, sweep the leg.

Playoffs called different from the regular season.
End of games called different from the start/middle of the game.
For the first 82 games, you’ll be whistled this way.
For the first 57 minutes, you’ll be whistled this way.
Whistles for certain guys, play-on no foul for others.
Corrupt ass refs, corrupt ass league.

 

He had 21 points on 15 shots with 8 turnovers. He has to be the best player on the team with alpi out. I want Jalen to be good but he does not have the heart or brain. If he had either one of those maybe I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

 

The discourse around Jalen this year will probably be the same around Jabari next year...should we trade him or continue to wait and see.

Jabari has to learn from this

 

Until Rockets get a All Star / All NBA player on this roster we never getting a whistle

I want FVV gone for a defensive PG who can make layups and not turn ball over

I hate Jabari for real. He was supposed to go 1 in the draft. He’s just a constant reminder of Orlando screwing us. Banchero was supposed to be here.

 

That’s funny, but this hurts so bad

 

Not much time to overthink things on a catch and shoot with the clock ticking down. But stepping up to the line with 20,000 people focused on your every move...it's almost all mental.
