It's too bad people react this way -- my goal is to come up with ways to help people who are suffering under bad leadership. People like you discourage that open dialogue from taking place. I have no idea why -- other than insecurity or feelings of personal guilt.

There is no open dialogue here. Just white supremacy. You can't fathom basic housing needs being met being a solution. You care more about white people telling people who you think are inferior how to live. That is coming from a place of narcissism, not a sincere desire to help.

    Are you trolling?

I don't know how anyone can walk into the deep inner city of major American cities and conclude that they do NOT need help. Be objective about it. These places are not where kids feel safe, or educated, or are able to build sustaining, wealth-creating careers.

Until people open their minds and allow themselves the freedom to change, then it's not realistic to expect improved results. People who can, will simply continue to move their businesses and families to safer places to live, and the urban situation will get much worse. Do we want to allow that to happen, because we feel emotionally wounded when someone points out an obvious fact that threatens our identity? Or do we want to check our ego at the door, be humble, and actually address the issue? We have an urban crisis, whether you want to admit it or not. The question is how to fix it. I would submit to you that the people living in these blighted areas are not the best ones to fix it, and therefore we need to bring in competent leaders to do the job. This is not fascism, racism, or any other -ism. This is asking the question in the spirit of progress -- and in the spirit of improving kids' lives.

So when we colonize American cities we went to extract labor, resources and wealth from the indigenous population of cities like Baltimore, NYC, Chicago etc and regulate them to a specific class of humans that can't socially mobilize upwards(a universal aspect of colonalism)?

Is that what you mean by colonize American cities?
Can the indigenous population of Chicago eventually own land unlike previous colonial endeavors that barred indigenous populations to join the landed gentry class of the colonizers?

Is this your application to be gov'nah of some brown and black people?

Also I'm assuming for this to work we have to eliminate a lot of labor laws because all colonial endeavors needs a slave labor pool. You have to do colonalism right to get the right results.

We are not going there to extract wealth -- there is very little wealth there! This is a humanitarian mission to improve lives and to avoid societal disruption by having urban downtowns become uninhabitable.

Yes, land ownership would not only be permitted but encouraged. Part of the problem today is not enough people own their own homes, and they've missed out on the run up in real estate values. They also would commit less crime if they owned something and had more to play for... finally, homeowners treat their property better than renters. I've never heard of someone washing a rental car, as an example.

Today, many people in urban centers barely make enough to pay for food, clothing, and rent (essentially the "wages" during the sad era of American slavery). Obviously this has become much worse under Biden, due to inflation and high interest rates -- the result of out of control spending and fiscal mismanagement. The goal is to improve lives through superior governance and leadership. This, in turn, will lead to greater upward mobility -- a very positive outcome. You have to admit today's trajectory for these good people is not pointing upwards -- gotta make a change.

    Nah.
You ain't here from a sincere place. You type words in complete sentences to show you have a basic grasp of common knowledge concepts like colonialism and the negative attributes it brings with it like slavery and ethnic cleansing.

You framing your "change of governance" to a colonial regime shows a lack of sincerity because you know no one with basic empathy would be like "that's sounds cool. Let's do that".

You are trying to play word games now and you think you are cute for such obvious subtext.

You don’t realize that urban areas generate far more wealth per square mile than rural areas. Just look at the tax base in almost any state and compare how much revenue comes from urban areas versus rural.

One of the problems of why people are moving from cities isn’t because of lack of wealth it’s because housing prices are too expensive in cities compared to other areas.

Houston is damn near completely gentrification with property values increasing. That's the stupidity of the thread.

Sn Francisco is a topic on its own. Highest property value. A lot of homeless. Only a few people can afford to o live there.

The crack epidemic was made up by us crackers who ignored the meth epidemic which was consuming white rural America.
