So from what I gather, Buffalo has to eat all of the bonus money by trading him, meaning the Texans are only on the hook for this season, but they have the option to bring him back at a high number the next few seasons.

It's a gamble that Diggs is motivated and still has gas left in the tank. Rumblings are that he was a pretty big locker room issue. Maybe the combo of chip on shoulder and new locker room brings out the best. At worst he's very cuttable any time they feel like.

No second round pick next season has the potential to help us as much as Diggs does the next 2 years and the window is now. Would suck to waste a pick on an aged malcontent. I neither hate nor love this deal, but I lean towards liking it..big upside for this season.

Yet they're still better than Noah Brown, Devin Singletary, and Dameon Pierce as alternatives.

I love that they're going all-in while they have Stroud at his rookie deal. This is only year 2 of that deal and if they make it further than the second round this should be considered an absolute Dub!

There's no reason we shouldn't be able to get to the AFC Championship and possibly even the SB. Injuries are about all that can hinder our progress.

They’re in a soft reboot mode now. So they’ll take any draft capital. A second round pick is the best they were gonna get considering few teams could absorb his salary this year.

Good trade. My only nitpick is we should have traded our 2nd instead of Minny's

Sure, it's not a lock, but there's a solid chance the Texans are the best team in the entire league.... that's basically never happened before

Not at all. Diggs is over 30 and won't get the kind of money he'll make next season ever again. If Nico plays well, he'll get paid.

Issues as of today (Still more FA to go, draft, natural progressions, surprises, etc.)
    - OLine can pass protect but struggles in run blocking
    - Back end of the defense is highly suspect. You have a good CB who is extremely injury prone, but after that you have total question marks at corner, 1 bad coverage safety and 1 injury prone safety.

    Das it.

We had no healthy proven WRs for playoff push and playoffs last season besides Nico who was doubled. We had a unproven rookies, metchie, and practice squad guys. I think Nick and Demeco have PTSD and trying not go through that again.

oh and barely a running game too lol!!

The pick isn't even what I'm worried about. More concerned with the contract. No way he can live up to it.

    This man cooked.

Suddenly, the offense is stacked. Defense is better. He cooked.
