Yeah for sure man. It’s one thing to just lose a tough game straight up. This is just another and significantly more hurtful

If they weren’t devastated they wouldn’t be the group of guys I love so much.

The first 10 minutes of the game were an incredible experience beyond measure. Glad I went.

Great season. Tough way to lose it. Shead no doubt would have put them over the hump. Proud of this team. They really played their asses of all season. March madness is what it is. I do believe coach is going to break through soon. Maybe next year. JoJo is the real deal. Sharp is getting better. Francis will be a beast. Others will step up.

Blame coach is not gone fly here. This is an elite team. They just won the Big XII in the first season despite the terrible bad luck. There are very few teams more successful the last 6 seasons. NONE came from the depths that coach pulled this program from. Blame coach and those here following this program at least the last decade or like me the last 40 years, we know your wrong. Flat wrong.

Congrats to the Coogs on an amazing season. We will be back again. Relentless as always.

After heartbreaking ends to seasons, I find it hard to watch sports. Definitely won’t watch the rest of this tournament and will avoid any news about it. To go from such a high four days ago to being absolutely gutted tonight… These one-loss elimination tournaments are brutal.

Every Duke fan I see online knows they should have lost that game. They know they got lucky as all hell****.

Every Duke fan I ran into at the arena was either a blue haired old rich person or a really ****ing obnoxious douchewaffle who had no comprehension of the absolute L they just sidestepped.

We could run it back, no?
I dont think any of our seniors have used their covid year.

I'm a fan of the way this program keep the assembly line going but bringing back Shead and Roberts would be something else.

Hmm. I guess its time to dump my life savings into the NIL collective. **** retirement and the prospects of owning a house. Just one more year, fellas.

No guarantee that Duke loses even with Shead playing the 2nd half.

No but with Shead I'd be confident they'd have won. Obviously nothing is guaranteed.

Duke doesn't win that game without Shead getting hurt. Unfortunately injuries are a part of the game. Shead is one of the greatest players to ever play for the University of Houston, and they were only going to go as far as he could carry them. Great team, but he was their heart and soul. You don't come back from losing someone like that very often, especially in the Sweet 16.

By the way, there are no words to describe how badly I wanted that NC State rematch. ****!

The fact that Duke or NCSU are going to the final four is just painful. It was right there for the taking.

I feel bad for y'all. It's so unfair that Shead got hurt against a beatable Duke team with an 11-seed awaiting the winner.

It's like the World Series last year when we knew the winner of the ALCS would beat Arizona.

Morning after observations. As far as I am concerned college basketball is over for the year. Could care less at this point who gets to the final four and who ultimately wins the championship. There is only one team I follow and root for and that is the Coogs.

Despite the loss it has been a great year. CKS led the team to its 3rd consecutive 30 win season. Something that has never been done in our basketball program. During his 10 years as head coach of our BB program what he has done is incredible and may never be repeated. And I believe the best is yet to come.

Starting with who is coming back. Nobody knows for sure. I am thinking Roberts, Cryer, Francis, Sharp, Arceneaux, Tugler. Wilson, Lath and Walker. We also have Mercy Miller (SG) and Chase McCarty (SF) coming in the freshman class Jacob McFarland (6'11"C) and Kordelius Jefferson (6'3"G) joining the team coming off a year as red shirted FR.

That is a core of 12. Glaring omission is PG. Would love Shead to come back. Odds of that probably less than 20%. Some say he comes back if he grades less than first round draft pick. Whatever the case I hope we find out something definitive on him ASAP so we have plenty of time to go to transfer portal to bring in the best possible PG. As we saw last night we are dead in the water without an elite point guard. There has to be someone out there that CKS has his eye on.

If this is what we have to work with next year I like our chances for another great year. Hoping selfishly Shead comes back but realistically expecting us to have to go to the portal to get the type of PG we need to lead the team. Next year's PG is the most pressing unknown that needs to be decided to assure another successful year. Confident CKS and his staff are already working on it.

Thanks again to all the players, staff, Coof fans everywhere for another great year,
