Wanted to get the board's thoughts with the emergence of Amen.

I'm torn between Amen starting over Brooks or over Jabari.

I like the idea of continuing to switch lineups with Bari, Thompson, or Sengun at the 5 to create mismatches.

As you put, no matter what, keep FVV and JG4 on.

Do you mean for next season or the end of this season?

I think realistically, it's not worth the ego drama involved with changing the starting lineup from our standard if Sengun plays again this year. Just put Amen back on the bench. He will play starters minutes anyway just eliminate any Tate minutes and some Jeff Green minutes.

Next year you just see how the guys have progressed in the summer. If Amen/Cam/Tari develop enough they may just logically take a starting spot.

If we assume Jalen/Sengun are starting then it's more important that the other 3 fit around them than it is that you play the next 3 best players.

I voted #3, but agree with pmac above. There’s only about 10 games left this season, no reason to create drama. Next season who knows!

Keep starting Brooks for now, but give him fewer minutes while giving Amen starter minutes.

But Amen needs to be in the starting lineup next year.

    Amen/Green/Cam/Eason/Jabari

Sengun should come off the bench when Jalen is getting a breather that way Green has a better chance to operate without a clogged paint....

The one we're running with now. You dont understand. They would have to change in order to put Sengun back in the starting lineup. Even the smallest change could ruin the flow they have going. It's just not a good idea to do such at such a pivotal point in the season.

Fixed, thanks... Anyways, Sengun would be really good coming off the bench with so many injuries. Easy 6th man of the year next year...

Is “returns” coming back for a playoff run or next season?

For the former you start off with him coming off the bench and don’t mess with what’s working for at least a couple of games if this lineup is still blazing hot.

Starting lineup next year is a harder question beyond just working back Sengun and I honestly don’t know right now.

I think we keep it the same as it's been the rest of the season but we increase Amen's minutes off the bench and get him at that "6th Man of the Year" level. I honestly think he can back up any position on the court for us, so this should be relatively easy to accomplish.

The more interesting question to me is how extreme we go in staggering Jalen's and Alpi's minutes. I don't agree with those who say they can't play together--I don't see any issue with that--but I do wonder whether they both function at their best as the primary offensive threat. If so, maybe you try to lower the number of minutes they spend together in order to maximize their talent and production.

On the other hand, you could also argue that they need time on the floor together in order to develop chemistry and figure out how best to play together in a two-man game.

I don't know the answer to that question, but I think it's much more likely that Ime experiments with minutes distribution and which lineups are on the floor when the bench comes in. I doubt he will change the starting lineup this season.

Next season all bets are off. I'm currently thinking we should trade Dillon and give Amen his starting spot.

Start Sengun…he is your other STAR. If you start Amen then you would bench Jabari because you really do not need him….but we live in a life of politics

Sengun and Green (at least right now) have to start, but the rest should be match up dependent.

The benefit of having a number of a guys who can play multiple roles/positions like Amen, Jabari, and Tari when he gets back is to allow the team to best adjust to the other team.

Plus they need minutes and data, to see how each line up fits together and meshes. That only happens with trying them all out over and over, because all these young guys are hopefully going to get better over the summer and add elements to their games.
