Especially Drexler. If this kid only realized what he could be... Right now though? He's starting to believe.
In hindsight what most legends had was stamina (Consistency!!!) and some had great longevity like a Lebron or when they were injured, Kobe and Iverson played thru the worst of injuries and came out alive which is almost impossible today. Playing with broken fingers and such. (like a competition who could play with worse injuries)
They need to adjust these types of stats, because scoring 1000 now is not like scoring 1000 back when Moses played.
Steve Francis had a Trauma, his Mom passing away at a very young age, Grandma passed away during his playing career. Tracy McGrady Injury Issues, I read that his One Leg has more length than the other which gives him back issues. Of course Rockets Medical Team Keith Jones is the worst. Keith Jones in One Year 10 Players got injured all at once. In his last year until he left, fired, released, disappeared.
Keith Jones was actually promoted to Sr. Vice President of Bball Operations......take that with a grain of salt. https://www.instagram.com/kjsfits/ https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/teams/Houston-Rockets/10/Rosters/Current/2024
Tbh, with his defense being what it is and how he's actually taking over games...That Kobe comparison people kept getting upset about and calling people crazy over doesn't seem quite so crazy. Y'all repeated your "anybody can do it" mantra to convince yourselves that either Mobley/Sengun/KPJ were better and you were 100% a bunch of basketball geniuses that you missed the blatant signs (ie, them literally telling you his achievements online for 3 years straight) that we had a talent with an ACTUAL superstar ceiling just waiting to break out. It's crazy. It was never "anybody can do it" because almost nobody else actually did have those levels of superstar flashes that Jalen had apart from actual bonafide superstars.
