It was a joke. We all know who is paying for this. Me and you.

The new federally funded bridge could - and should - and probably will - be named the Joseph R. & Hunter Biden Family Bridge.

    I'd vote for that

Was Kamala the best person for the job or hired because of her demographics? It's the world we live in right now.

So Kamala was responsible for the bridge collapse?

Absolutely not. But he isn't wrong about hiring practices. The boxes you need to check have changed a bit over the years. It's not a bad thing but some jobs don't have huge margins for error.

Do you know who was piloting that ship, what their background was or even when they were hired?

Shipping and cargo companies may still be responsible, but we aren't going to wait for all that legal mess. We will all end up paying for critical infrastructure with great ROI, as we always have. I'm sure that at least some Republicans in Congress will likely say no.

I am not saying that had anything to do with the accident. I only was responding to the correspondents quote.

Companies aren't stupid; they do what's best for them.

Conservatives pushing this narrative, however, are either misinformed or simply racist (I don't use that term lightly, but I do use it here - the DEI racist narrative).

So you’re just agreeing with Victor Hansen’s comment on why the bridge collapsed even w though you don’t see the relevance of it.

Biden said he would only pick a black female VP -- so that answers your question. When you narrow the candidate pool down to black, female politicians.. a tiny group, and exclude all others, then you are basically ensuring that you won't get a quality hire. And sure enough, she's been a national embarrassment. Poster child for a horrible DEI hire.

These correspondents are out of line bringing this crap up when it has nothing to do with a Dutch cargo company hiring the Singapore ship that hit the bridge. It has nothing to do with Biden or American hiring practices. It's just wrong to even go there during a tragedy like this. Period. Everything coming from these Republicans is either racist, political finger pointing, or just BS conspiracy spewing, and is out of line, but par for the course they choose to take these days.

Was Kamala Harris qualified to be VP? Let's see... DA for San Francisco, Attorney General for California, and U.S. Senator for California. Winning each elected office by significant margins. Ran unsuccessfully for President in 2020. Seems at least from a resume she was qualified.

If your question is... "was Harris the best qualified candidate for VP?" You can ask that same question of vice president candidates throughout American history. Were they simply chosen as "most qualified" or were they chosen for other political reasons (attract voters that the presidential candidate wouldn't otherwise?)? My bet is that almost without exception, it was the latter. Was pence the most qualified, or was he chosen to attract the religious vote? Was palin the most qualified?
