He's been worth every single penny for this group at their stage of their careers. Love having Vanvleet on this team

James Harden would improve Green's open spot up shooting attempts.

And that literally would be the only thing Harden would help Green with.

FVV is a guy went from being undrafted to becoming an all-star. A bunch of high talent lottery picks need a guy like that to emulate because as high end talents they've been handed opportunities rather than scratching and clawing so they need to see what that type of work ethic looks like.

If your goal is to increase the open spot shooting opportunities of our young guys, Harden is your guy. If you want your young guys to develop into all around good players FVV is your guy.

    Identity?

The Clippers have a system and that's all they need.

Crazy how wrong this post is a month in.

This just tells me how one important one dude can be to the game of basketball. Stone could have done 9 good moves, but if Green sucks the team looks bad and everyone is unhappy.

Now Green is balling outta his mind and all these complaints don't even matter.

Watching the Bucks v. Lakers and Dame looks old. If his shot's not falling he's basically worthless. I would much rather have Fred,.

People looking at the dollar figure was always stupid, whether they paid him 15 million or 40 million it had no bearing on our long term cap. Some will say spread the money around, but they would then turn around and complain how the young guys aren't getting minutes. This was always a perfect short term transition signing for the team.

Is he overpaid, sure. Does it make me cringe watching him try to finish at the rim, yep, but he is still a very impactful 2 way player. He was also willing to sign 2 year deal and wanted to be a leader in a young locker room.

I loved watching Harden, but to put it mildly he had some on court habits you don't want young players replicating. Hard to call out effort and focus of young players when your best player is so inconsistent in that regard.

Ryan Anderson does not think this thread has aged well.

CP3 almost same rate as FVV. He's in 2nd place with just half the possessions of others. Pretty good for being almost 10 years older than FVV

11 games away from being an expiring contract. Such a great signing to be honest. Might not fit our future but perfect for now.

Harden just doing the thing he did at every stop. Looks amazing at first. Teams catch on. Flames out. Wash, rinse and repeat.

Perfect transitional FA signing for what this team needed at the time, without any long term investment. Going from 22 wins to possibly .500 (and an even larger growth in point differential) is a massive f**king jump and he played a huge role in that. With Sengun missing the last quarter of the year, I have no hesitation in saying he was our overall MVP this season.

If he's our MVP next season, something will have gone terribly wrong.
