Does anyone else feel like this will send us to the play in?

I'll be honest, thought about the margaritas with the mini umbrellas.........and sitting by the pool.

 

Since Sengun went down we played spurs, bulls, wizards twice, Utah, Portland, and Cleveland.

With or without him I thought we'd go 8-1. These teams are trying to lose on purpose. They benched all their real nba players and we've been playing against no name rookies I've never even heard of. The true test starts now. Let's see how we do against OKC.

 

God I hope so! It would be nice to get see the Rox in national broadcast.

 

that’s too extreme man. The true test is an average team, not a top 4 NBA team. How we do against an average team tells us where we are.

Why would a contender for the 8th seed (or even a #1 seed for that matter) missing 3 key rotation players beat a #2 seed on their home court? That’s 100% not our level, unless we get lucky.

 

Definitely hope we get in!

But I see us ending up with 41 wins and GSW with 43 wins, sadly. Lakers with 45.

The next 5 games are brutal. 1-4 is possible.

 

Dude we’ve been out of the playoffs and full of turmoil for years. If we go 7-4 including defeating the Warriors head to head, we are most likely going to the play ins. 9-0 didn’t look likely either no matter how easy the opponent. We’re on fire at the right time.

Look at the Warriors past 10-20 games. These vets should be warmed up for maybe their final championship push as the original unit. They should be firing on all cylinders. Instead they are looking frustrated.

There is objective reason to be hopeful. The momentum is on our side. We can definitely do this with a little bit of luck.

Time to recalibrate brother

 

I did think way back starting with the home game vs the Spurs that the Rockets would need to go 9-2 in their next 11 games to put themselves in the play-in picture, but I wasn't sure they could pull that off.

They managed to go 10-1.

 

I don't see us going 7-4 but that would be awesome. There is reason to have hope. Play-in is possible. I just personally wouldn't bet on it.

Lakers have a super easy schedule. GSW has pretty easy schedule. We have a tough schedule. And GSW has the tiebreaker with us, IIRC.

So yeah I have hope. I've been loving our play lately and want us to make the play-in, but I don't think we'll end up there.

Probably half the teams in the league would gladly swap rosters with us. Even many of those ahead of us in the standings would sacrifice the next year or two of getting bumped out of the playoffs in the first or second round to have the young talent we've got.
