how ugly it may be

 

For the last 2 years, Scoot screamed "already peaked" out loud to me. I thought he might contend for ROY and then flatline but apparently his floor is even lower than I thought.

 

If he can be this sharp on defense, it swings games. But he still took too many tough/bad shots, but I don't blame him given Brooks and FVV were laying even more bricks.

 

Maybe we should all start Jabari Smith trade rumors to get him jump started as well

 

Nine straight wins without Sengun, and now above .500. I couldn’t have imagined this in my wildest dreams.

Go get that play-in spot and get some valuable experience for next year!

I’m rooting for him, just like I root for every young player who’s not a d*ckhead. It’s just that without the bias that I look at Rockets players with, objectively it just seems like he doesn’t have IT. That intangible thing that Amen has which can just ignite a crowd and his team.

atp, I just wanna see someone knock off his prescription goggles while he’s throwing his elbows out on his drives and have him like

 

I think it has to do with the fact that Green shot this poorly with Sengun on the floor creating gravity where he would just miss open looks. Now he's missing looks because all 5 defenders are squared in in trying to stop Green. He's working hard for his buckets. I mean he's working hard just to get the ball because the entire game the Blazers were shadowing multiple guys on Green even when he didn't have the ball.

 

No it doesn't.

Anyway, he went 4/5 in the 2nd half and finished 6/12, they won so it's all good. But this definitely was not his best game. He was not locked in on either end of the floor.

 

..watching the post game segment with Kevin and Calvin and someone stepped in front of the screen and Calvin looked like he was about to cut a b**** - lol

 

I want the update. I feel like that's a lifetime ban if I've ever saw one

 

Jalen had the worst net rating of the starters and 1 of the worst overall on the team until this stretch where his +/- has and net rating have been really good

he’s been a genuine positive player out on the floor

lead us to the play-in Green…it would be a huge resume booster

With Scoot, it isn't just a missing "It" factor. IMO, his combination of skills, size and athleticism just doesn't measure up. He's "mediocre at best" in nearly way. I don't see a hypothetical path to greatness for him at all. One the other hand, I definitely see possible paths for Amen and Cam.

 

This is the way to do it JG. When your shooting's not falling, just defend and take it to the hoop. Eventually, you'll get hot. Winning isn't a sure thing every time. Knowing how to grind and rely on defense till you get your offense going is a sign of maturity.

 

I just know, first game back, Bari going to punch chet in the mouth.
