All that did is remind me that they were worse than I remembered when it comes to a lack of frames of animation, especially for 'final' battles. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Forgot if it was mentioned in this thread, but the showrunner for X-Men 97 was fired before the show aired.

Is it a big deal the showrunner was fired in this? I've never heard of the guy. He did a good job setting the tone and style. But I feel like the shoes can be filled. Especially now that the template exists.

Besides, we're just telling Claremont stories and mixing in other tidbits from the comics and things like marvel vs capcom cyclops fighting style. The lego pieces already exist.

I'm not too worried about it. But I guess we'll see.

I came to write a review but you mostly covered it here.

The thing I'm most pleased and surprised with is their ability to make a PG show that is still interesting and engaging for the kids and an adult audience.

Ep 3 speeds through a complex og story but IMO they cleaned it up nicely and made it less boring than dragging it out over several episodes.

I feel like Inferno could've been a 2 parter, but I'll allow it.

i read they're adapting the inferno storyline for this series. that would make a good standalone live action movie/series, ie outside the mcu. if they're animating it i think they need a heavy metal or vampire hunter d type art style for it to really work

I thought the imagery in ep3 was fine because it borrowed directly from the look (and dating) of the source material.

    Maybe... stuff I loved.

    Dark Cyclops.

    Wolverine-Jean.

    Notorious Gambit comic storyline redeemed.

    Magneto's German line.

    No music near the end.

Whole thing was a banger. Lawdt
